A Small Crew Making
Some Noise Underwater

No investors, no growth targets to hit this quarter. Just a couple of people who got sick of freemium games and figured they could build something less annoying.

HOW IT STARTED

A Weekend Project
That Wouldn't Quit

Honestly it started because one of us kept getting hit with paywalls in games that were supposedly free, and complained about it enough that the other one said "fine, let's just build our own then." That was basically the whole pitch meeting.

Mystic Mermaids got built in spare evenings, mostly after the day job, mostly running on too much coffee. It wasn't supposed to turn into a whole site — it was meant to be one game we could mess around with after work.

A handful of people found it, liked it more than expected, and started asking for a second game. So Magic Underwater got added a while later. Same deal as before: nothing to buy, no accounts, no tricks.

What We Actually Stand For

A few things we try to actually stick to, not just say.

No pay-to-win, ever

Nothing costs money here, so paying to get further isn't even an option we built. It just doesn't exist.

Your data stays yours

You don't sign up for anything to play, so there's not much of yours sitting on a server somewhere.

Built off real feedback

A surprising chunk of this site started life as someone's message in the contact form, not our own idea.

Free means free

Not a trial period, not "free" with ads shoved in later. That was the deal from the start and it hasn't moved.

A Rough Timeline

Nothing fancy, just how we got from idea to this actual website.

2022

The idea shows up

A napkin sketch of a mermaid-themed slot after yet another mobile game asked for money mid-session.

2023

Mystic Mermaids goes live

Buggy for the first couple of weeks, honestly. But enough people kept coming back that we knew it was worth fixing properly.

2024

Magic Underwater joins

A second reel, a bit more strategic, built off requests from players who wanted more variety.

TODAY

Still going, still free

Same small crew, same rules, tens of thousands of spins a day and not a single paywall in sight.

Small Team, Big Opinions

There's a couple of developers splitting features and bug fixes, a designer who will argue for twenty minutes about the exact shade of teal on a button, and whoever's turn it is that week to check the Contact form.

No support ticket system, no chatbot pretending to be helpful. If you write in, an actual person on the team reads it and writes back — usually the same day, sometimes not, depending on how the week's going.
